About Us
Rocky Mountain Outfitter is owned and operated by Karl Prinz. Karl was born in 1949 on the Family Farm in Germany and grew up in the Bavarian Alps near the Austrian and Swiss Border. Hunting there has hundreds of years tradition as well as caring for Wildlife and habitat. After completing formal education, Karl toured the World as a young Man visiting northern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Africa, South America, the United States and Australia. A final trip saw Karl travelling from New York City through to Canada into Alaska. With prospects of trading freedom and Mountains with a dry Office in his Father's Company, Karl decided not to return to Germany and instead remain in Canada. In 1978, after working for several years in the far north in Mining exploration, Karl accumulated enough money for a down payment to purchase the rights to the Rocky Mountain Guiding Territories. Ursula is Karl's Wife since 1975. Our two grown Children are both involved in the Guiding Business from time to time but in real life, holding less demanding, steady professional Jobs.
